Hello,
I´m faced some doubts regarding the Oracle Patch Set update activity! The SAP system is an ERP 6.0 EHP6 in a Windows Server 2008 (R2).
My goal is to do the update of Oracle Patch Set from 11.2.0.2 to 11.2.0.3! For this, I did the download of Oracle RDBMS 11.2.0.3 file and I read the sap note 1431799 (Oracle 11.2.0: Current Patch Set) and also the README file!
I started the installation of this patch set and then I followed the wizard without problems and I finished it with success! But now I ask you guys, this is the only thing that I need to do to install/update the patch set in oracle database?
The only thing that I did was changed the ORACLE_HOME to the new path --> C:\oracle\ORA\11203
I started the SAP system in SAPMMC without problems, but when I went to menu option System --> Status I see that the release of oracle is still the 11.2.0.2 version:
But why!??
Other thing that seems to me weird is when I checked the listener version I see the 11.2.0.2.0 information version:
C:\>lsnrctl

The command completed successfully

When I checked the Listener service (in services.msc) I see the following:
As you see above the path to executable is from 11202 patch and not from 11203!! :-(
Can you help me please in way to understand what is wrong here!?!

Hello All,
I entered the t-code DB13 and I have the following error: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges, which I re-searched on the OSS for support and I found this note: Note 1028220 - ORA-01031: Insufficient privileges despite SAPCONN role, which I have verfied all the permssions and roles. Still no luck on accessingt he DB13 t-codes. I tried to execute this SQL Script that is being executed by Db13 in OS using SQL Plus. i still get the same error. I am not sure what permission I am missing here. Could you please tell me what I am exactly missing here.
SELECT beg, funct, sysid, obj, rc, ende, actid, line FROM sap_sdbah WHERE beg BETWEEN '20090105000000' AND '20090210235959' AND sysid = 'BIQ'
SQL> select grantee, granted_role, default_role 2 from dba_role_privs 3 where grantee = 'SAPSR3'; GRANTEE GRANTED_ROLE DEF ------------------------------ ------------------------------ --- SAPSR3 SAPCONN YES
I did run this script: sapconn_role.sql to set the permission correctly. No luck.
Note: I logged to the system as <SID>adm user.
Thanks in Advance
Thanks

Thanks in advance for your answer.
Hi guys. I've been having the same problem for the last few days. The application and DB (Oracle) are located on different servers, SAP gateway is installed on the server with the database. When I try to update DB13 statistics it comes up with the following log:

I don't understand why the service can't log into the database. Any suggestions?
